수원 출신으로 서울에서 활동 중인 POPCON은 전시, 공연, 인테리어 등 다양한 분야의 사진 관련 일을 하고 있습니다. 강렬한 명도와 색조, 1점 투시, 자신을 캐릭터화한 이미지가 합쳐진 사진들은 모두 제2의 고향이자 정든 집인 부암동과 그 인근을 떠나기 전에 담아두기 위한 것입니다. 합성 효과가 가미된 코믹한 캐릭터는 도심 속 무릉도원인 부암동 주변에 놓이며 관객에게 여러 가지 이야기를 전달합니다. 그의 자기 표현적인 합성 이미지들은 의도치 않게 '가상과 현실의 세계'를 결합한 독특한 시각 예술을 구현하고 있습니다.



Born in Suwon and active in Seoul, POPCON works in photography in various fields such as exhibitions, performances, and interiors. The photos in which intense brightness and color tone, one-point perspective, and self-characterized images are combined are all intended to be captured before leaving the second hometown and Buam-dong, and the neighborhood. A comical character with a composite effect is placed around Buam-dong, "Mureungdowon" in the city center, and conveys various narratives to the audience. His self-expressive composite images unintentionally embody a unique visual art that combines 'virtual and real world.’
